Akaw

‘Akaw’ is a surfing term used to indicate when spotting the perfect wave approaching, so what better name that Akaw for this piece. 
It’s made with sand, driftwood, shells, seaweed and resin. To create the wave the artist has to capture the moment just before the resin begins to harder to bend the wave into its final position to create the ‘perfect wave’.
